Check and adjust your 2026 declaration
As of the 12th of August 2026, the PPWR will enter into force. This will shift legal obligations regarding reporting, which may affect your 2026 declaration. Please also read our 2026 policy.
It is important to check whether your declaration accurately reflects your situation in 2026. If necessary, you can adjust your declaration yourself in PackTool.
The PPWR is European legislation on packaging and introduces changes for everyone who places packaging or packaged products on the market.

Why is it necessary to file a declaration?
We administer producer responsibility, on behalf of companies, as efficiently and effectively as possible. Producers and importers pay the Packaging Waste Management Fee to Verpact. We use this money to pay collection and recycling costs. This enables us to achieve the statutory recycling targets for the business sector.
